Viktor Bout, the so-called ‘Merchant of Death’ and alleged (ok, not really alleged) arms dealer to most any buyer most anywhere (oh yeah, this included the US in Iraq) has been convicted in US district court in Manhattan after being ensnared in Thailand by a DEA sting for allegedly trying to sell Columbian rebel group FARC millions of dollars worth of arms.
